The bumper is not alone in doing its task of absorbing the impact of any collision. There are other big and small car parts and accessories that are mounted or installed with the bumper to toughen it up. It is because the material being used for bumper nowadays are not as tough as the heavy steel which was used before. Today, bumpers are made from rubber, plastic, light material that’s painted and fiberglass which are not as tough as the original material. Thus, manufacturers have come up with other parts that work cohesively with the bumper to make a better front and rear end. These add-ons are the bumper cover, absorber, brackets, retainers, trims, guards, filler and the bumper ends.
